Dora Smallwood Hanson

MRS. DORA SMALLWOOD HANSON Mrs. Dora Smallwood Hanson, 97, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Bayfront Hospice in Dade City, Florida. Born November 27, 1917 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late George Titus Smallwood and Julie Hembree Smallwood. She lived most of her life in Hogansville, was retired from Uniroyal, Inc., and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hanson; her son, Raymond Hanson and his wife Shelby; her daughter, Robyn Moon; and her grandson, Tim Hanson. Dora is survived by her daughter, Bea Stigall and her husband Bruce; her brother, George Smallwood; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Friday evening. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 3rd, at Claude A.
