MRS. DORA LOUISE HADAWAY
Mrs. Dora Louise Hadaway, 85, formerly of Grantville, died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Florence Hand Home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend James Moon and the Reverend Gary Boyd officiating. Interment will be in the Fairfax Cemetery in Valley, AL.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Monday afternoon.
Born July 7, 1927, in Macon County, Alabama, Mrs. Hadaway was the daughter of the late Leonard Marshall Chapman and Dora Walker Chapman Johnson. She was a former resident of Macon, where she retired as an administrative assistant from Georgia Kaolin, and lived in Grantville from 1990 until making her home at Florence Hand Home. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Newnan.
Survivors include her son, Benjamin B. (Bobby) Hadaway, Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of LaGrange; five grandchildren, Dori, Jason, Blake, Ethan, and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren, Amy, Garrett, and A. J. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin B. Hadaway.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
