MR. DONNIE WILLIAMSON Mr. Donnie Williamson, 74 of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home. Born June 26, 1947 in Hogansville, Mr. Williamson was the son of the late Emmett and Betty McWhorter Williamson. Mr. Williamson was a lifelong resident of the Hogansville area, enjoyed working in the timber industry for 35 years, and retired from the City of Hogansville as a maintenance shop supervisor. He had been a choir director at various churches for over 25 years and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Mr. Williamson enjoyed automotive repair, was a talented mechanic, and above all, loved his family dearly. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Williamson of Hogansville; daughters and sons in-law, Angie Dennard of Warner Robbins and Karen and Larkin Lee of Williamson; sons and daughter in-law, Tim and Jessica Williamson and Brandon Williamson, all of Hogansville and Mike Williamson of LaGrange; sister and brother in-law, Brenda and Richard Hampson, of Hogansville; step-son, Joseph Spinelli of Decatur; step daughters, Jessica and Nathan Rowe of Marietta and Amanda Spinelli of Hogansville; grandchildren, Brandi and Justin Whited, Kaitlyn Gilbert, Caleb Gilbert, Caison Gilbert, Jackson Lee, Mallorie Fountain, Hudson Rowe, Marley Williamson, Bentley Williamson, and Harley Turner; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Billingsley Williamson, and his brother, Larry Williamson. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, at Springhill Baptist Church. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
