Donnie Lee Richardson

Mrs. Donnie Richardson, 71, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Richardson was born November 21, 1948, in Polk County, daughter of the late Harold and Opal Brown Thomas. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was employed at Carter's prior to her retirement. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange and had a passion for reading her Bible. Survivors include her daughters, Kristie Prophitt and May Lee Thompson and her husband Johnny, all of Hogansville; grandchildren, Kimberly Lee Arrington, Roy John IV (JT) and Brittany Thompson, CJ Prophitt, Jessica Lynn Henderson and her husband Aubrey; and great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Kaylee, Easton, Christopher, Alyssa and Renlee. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Buddy) Richardson, and her son in-law, Curtis Prophitt. The family will receive friends for visitation and viewing from 6 until 8 Tuesday night, May 12, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. A graveside memorial service will be conducted Thursday afternoon, May 14, in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that friends consider planting a memorial tree. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
