MRS. DONNA M. HARMAN

Mrs. Donna McCannon Harman, age 77, of the Odessadale Community of Meriwether County, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at her home.

Mrs. Harman was born December 1, 1948, in Athens, daughter of the late Eugene Garfield McCannon and Kathleen Silver McCannon. She earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Georgia, a Masters degree from Mercer University, and retired as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of Odessadale Church, worked in community outreach for the church, served as her family historian by creating photo albums to share her family's history. She also loved gardening, rock collecting, puzzles, the color pink, and flamingos.

Survivors include her son, Gaines Harman, Jr. and his wife Jori, of Suwanee; grandchildren, Cannon Harman and Claire Harman; and her sister, Mary Jean Wilkins of Comer.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, at Odessadale Church in the Odessadale Community, with Jay Tucker officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity. Also, please feel free to wear a touch of pink.
