MR. DONALD FOMBY Mr. Donald L. Fomby, 43, of Hogansville, died Monday, July 25, 2011. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Mr. Greg Nichols will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Mr. Fomby was born January 19, 1968, in Franklin, son of the late Lewis Arnold Fomby and the late Johnette Flournoy Fomby Smith. A graduate of Newnan High School, he lived in Hogansville and Newnan most of his life and was employed at Valway Division of Milliken and Company. Survivors include his wife, Tabatha Rodgers Fomby of Hogansville; sister, Terry Fomby of Newnan; brothers and sister in-law, Scotty and Kimberly Fomby of Hogansville, Nathaniel Smith of West Point; special friends, Pam and Steve Galloway, Kerrie and Brandon Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Coley and Peggy Fomby; and nephew, Zachary Fomby. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
