MRS. DIANNE S. CARTER Mrs. Dianne Self Carter, 58, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Friday afternoon. Mrs. Carter was born November 20, 1953, in Hogansville, and lived in Hogansville most of her life. She was a 1972 graduate of Hogansville High School and was employed by the City of Hogansville for 20 years, retiring as City Clerk. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, LeAnn and Justin Lehigh and Jennifer and Clay Baker, all of Hogansville; her mother, Evelyn Haines of Jonesboro; her sisters and brother in-law, Jeanne Lowery of Jonesboro, Susan and Tony Williamson of Hogansville; and her grandchildren, Celeste, Dakota and Lydia, who is on the way. She was preceded in death by her father, William M. Self, Jr.; and step-father, Alfred R. Haines. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
