MRS. DERA BROWN
Mrs. Dera Littlefield Brown, 85, of Sugar Hill and formerly of Hogansville, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Frank Sledge and Mr. Harold Todd will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born December 16, 1923, in Heard County, daughter of the late Troy Littlefield and the late Gertrude Shirey Littlefield. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and retired from Playtex International in LaGrange.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Brown Daugereau of Sugar Hill; sister and brother in-law, Fayzell and Robert Daniel of Hogansville; brother and sister in-law, Charles and Melba Littlefield, also of Hogansville sister in-law, Loma Littlefield of Powder Springs. She was the wife of the late Jim F. Brown, who died in 1984, and the late John Hanks, who died in World War Two; and was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruth Littlefield.
