Dennis G. "Denny" Phillips

Mr. Dennis G. "Denny" Phillips, 68, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at his home. Mr. Phillips was born January 12, 1950, in Oklahoma, son of the late William Calvin and Katherine Phillips . A U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he lived in the Hogansville area most of his life and retired after working for Milliken and Company and Kleen-Tex Industries. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville, attended Hogansville Active Life Center, and enjoyed golf and landscaping. Survivors include his sons and daughters in-law, Justin and Heather Phillips of Flowery Branch, JohnPaul and Beth Phillips of Woodbury; grandchildren, Jonathan T. Phillips, Braley J. Phillips, Jordan T. Phillips; and his former wife and the mother of his sons, Donna Phillips of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his longtime girlfriend, Rita Hamilton, and is also survived by Rita's daughter Brenda McCain and her husband Billy, and Rita's son Tommy Crapps. The family will plan a memorial gathering later. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
