Denise Hardy Simons

Mrs. Denise Hardy Simons, 64, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Simons was born March 4, 1953, in Macon, daughter of the late Clinton and Jean Thrower Hardy. A former resident of Roanoke, Alabama, she was a retired cashier and was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music. Survivors include her daughters, Kandy Cole and her husband Allen of Hogansville, Donna Miller of Eastaboga, AL, and Tammy Mabry of Hogansville; sister, Susan Hardy of Roanoke, AL; brothers, Tommy Hardy of Newnan and Danny Hardy of Leesburg, FL; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchilden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Joe Simons. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 10, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
