Mrs. Debra Hanson Breed, 68, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Breed was born May 28, 1956, in Newnan, daughter of the late Raymond Charles Hanson and Shelby Hubbard Hanson. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she first worked in textiles, later worked as a florist and owned a floral shop, and then worked as a personal caregiver. She was Baptist by faith, enjoyed crafting, and was known as a talented cook.

Survivors include her daughter, Shannon Breed and Jody Brooks, son, Ray and Melissa Breed, all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Brooke Breed and Alan Jacobs, Kyle Breed, Kody and Kelby Breed; great-grandchildren, Luke and Liam Breed; brother, Tony and Vonnie Hanson of Hogansville; a number of nieces and nephews; and close friends that she considered as sisters, Jenni Callahan and Melinda Poss; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Breed; and her brother, Tim Hanson.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Wesley Boatman officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m,, Sunday, prior to the service.
