Deborah Sue Allen

Mrs. Deborah Sue Allen, 64, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Allen was born February 28, 1960, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Dean Carter and the late Shirley Moon Carter Smith. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed fishing, was very family oriented, and loved being with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, William W. Allen; daughter, Marical Allen; and grandson, Kohlmun Allen; a dear friend whom she considered a daughter, Jessica Chapman and family, all of Hogansville; a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Walter Allen, Jr; grandson, Cameron Blake Simons; brother, Ricky Carter; and step-father, George Allen Smith.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Long Cane Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday.
