David A Sorrells

Mr. David A. Sorrells, 73, of Grantville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Sorrells was born November 22, 1952, in Gainesville, FL, son of the late Marvin and Mary Lindsey Sorrells. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he had made his home in Meriwether County for the past 23 years and retired from PrintPack in Villa Rica after 25 years of service. Mr. Sorrells never met a stranger and enjoyed woodworking and taking care of animals.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Sorrells of Grantville; daughters, Amanda Mooney (Johnny) of Franklin, and Angela Durden of Concord; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sandra Crook of Douglasville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and two sisters.

The family will announce plans for a gathering to celebrate the life of Mr. Sorrells.
