David Ellis Sikes

August 11, 1960 — February 16, 2022

Mr. David E. Sikes, 61, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Hospice LaGrange. Born August 11, 1960, in Tallahassee, Florida, Mr. Sikes was a veteran of service in the U. S. Army, serving in Germany, and was employed as a foreman for Sikes Underground. He loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed woodworking, and was an avid University of Alabama fan. Survivors include his daughter, Cybill Sikes Robinson and her husband Trent Robinson; grandson, Brayden Robinson; his mother, Virginia Goodman of LaGrange; a dear friend, Tiffany Scruggs of Hogansville and her sons, Jake and Levi Scruggs; sisters and brothers, Helen Patrice Berger and her husband Bruce Berger, Jr. of Roanoke, AL, Allen Sikes, Jr. and his wife Donna Sikes of Hogansville, Kim Marie Empie and her husband Lee Empie of Pensacola, FL, Daren Goodman and his wife Cindy Goodman of Tallahassee, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Ethan Sikes, Sr.; step-father, Frank Darel Goodman; and step-brother, Frank D. Goodman, Jr. The family of Mr. Sikes will host a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, at Broad Street Church of Christ in LaGrange. The family will greet friends at the church.
