MR. DAVID RUSSELL REED Mr. David Russell Reed, 64, of Greenville, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 24, at Liberty Worship Center at Molena, with the Reverend Pete Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Born January 2, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, he served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the College Park Police Department. At the time of his death, he was serving as a corporal in the Meriwether County Sheriff's Department and was a member of Liberty Worship Center. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Reed; and his daughter, Mary Lucille Reed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Meriwether County Recreation Department. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
