David Michael Medders

Mr. David Michael Medders, 48, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Medders was born April 11, 1972, in Hazelhurst and was a longtime resident of Troup County. He owned and operated A-1 Garage Doors and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, LaGrange Branch. David enjoyed working on cars and was a giving person who was always willing to help others. Survivors include his wife, Tabatha Medders; children, Toney Medders, Matthew Thompson, Faullon Smith, and Justin Smith, all of LaGrange; his parents, Joy and Royce Medders of West Point; sister, Cheryl May of Hogansville; brothers, Roy Medders of Taylors, SC, Dale Pilgrim of Roanoke, AL; grandchildren, Lane Medders, Sutton Thompson, Summer Smith, Aiden Hardin, Piper Hardin, and Clayton Smith. He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Cole Thompson and Judson Thompson, and his sister, Michelle Medders. A family funeral service will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Kevin West presiding. Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
