Mr. David Kent Loper, Sr., 63, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016, at his home.
Mr. Loper was born December 4, 1952, in Milam County, Texas, son of the late Leroy Loper and Ethel Key Loper Johnson. He lived in Heard County most of his life and retired as a mechanic from the City of Newnan. He was a member of El-Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Loper of Franklin; daughters, Melissa Foresteire of Kennesaw, Michelle Cook, Angela Loper both of Newnan, Brandy Williams of Whitesburg, Anitra Kent, Kimberly Burns and Andrea Whitlock, all of Franklin; sons, Jeffery Williams of Newnan and David Loper, Jr of Franklin; brothers, Kenny Loper and Glen Loper of Franklin, James Johnson, Jr., of Corinth; 25 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will host a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, at The Church of God of the Union Assembly in Newnan, with the Reverend Jesse Hughes and the Reverend Jurandon Hughes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
