David Emmett Langford

Mr. David E. Langford, 80, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Langford was born April 21, 1944, in LaGrange, son of the late Hugh Langford and the late Marion Langford Gay. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and then worked as an over-the-road truck driver for almost 45 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed truck driving, but after his retirement, he especially loved being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Langford; son, David Langford, Jr., both of Hogansville; step-children, Dawn Miller of Marietta and Dale Burge of Hogansville; grandchildren, Courtney Hickman, Anna Hammond, Karly Dire, Kaleb Langford, Hailey Miller; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ava, Grace, Addie, Edward, Judson, Aiden, Hadley; and his brother, Mark Langford of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, C J Dire.

Plans for a memorial gathering for family and friends will be announced later.
