David William Hudson

MR. DAVID HUDSON Mr. David William Hudson, 62 of Homewood AL., died Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Born April 25, 1949 in Atlanta, Mr. Hudson was the son of Marion "Sandy" Hudson and the late Montene Wilson Hudson. He had lived in Birmingham since 1997, was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, and owned and operated the Homewood UPS Store. Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife, Claire M. Hudson of Homewood Al.; daughters, Amy E. Hudson of Birmingham and Jessica L. Hudson of Atlanta; and his father, Marion "Sandy" Hudson of Vestavia Hills, AL. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery with Dr. J. Alan Carter officiating. A memorial service will follow in Birmingham at the Faith Presbyterian Church at 5 p.m. central time. The family will receive friends at the church from 4 until 5. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in David's memory to Faith Presbyterian Church---Missions, 4601 Valleydale Rd., Birmingham, AL 35242; or to Covenant College office of development, 14049 Scenic Hwy, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: Thursday, September 1, from 4 until 5 CST at Faith Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.
