David James Cosley

Mr. David James Cosley, 42, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020, of injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Newnan. Mr. Cosley was born June 22, 1978, was a lifelong resident of Troup County, and was employed as a maintenance technician at the PetSmart Distribution Center in Newnan. He was a former member of the American Pool Association and loved playing pool and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Survivors include his children, Teddy James Cosley and Julie Marie Cosley and their mother Mary Cosley, Hailey Earley and Allison Cosley and their mother Kim Earley; his mother and step-father, Teresa and Richard Fuller of LaGrange; father and step-mother, Teddy Lamar and Theresa Cosley, also of LaGrange; sister Kimberly McGuffin and her fiancée Ben Todd of West Point; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Lamar Cosley, Jr.; and his nephew, Christian Leif McGuffin. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jody Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
