DAVID M. COOPER
David Michael Cooper, 44, of Lone Oak, died Saturday, November 29, 2008.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, with the Reverend Kenneth Whitlock officiating.
Born June 9, 1964, Mr. Cooper was a 1983 graduate of The Heritage School in Newnan and attended the University of West Georgia. He was a licensed commercial pilot, flight engineer and A&P mechanic. He was a member of AOPA and had worked for Atlantic Southeast Airlines for the past 12 years.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Spratlin Cooper Carter; his aunt, Jacquelyn Spratlin Rogers and her husband, Michael Rogers; George H. Carter, Jr.; his girlfriend Maria Wagner Zavala; and a host of friends, including John and Maria Rencoukes, Jimmy Hopkins, Steve and Maria Teresa Wagner, Henry and Brenda Gregorich and their children, Amanda and Patrick; and many other friends.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring to contribute in memory of Mr. Cooper are asked to consider the New Hope Church Building Fund, 7719 Callaway Rd., Greenville, GA 30222.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
