MR. DAVID A. BRASWELL Mr. David A. Braswell, 54, of Hogansville, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at the VA Medical Center in Decatur. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, at the home of his mother at 1014 Bass Cross Road in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge and the Reverend Jimmy Bowden will officiate, and the family will receive friends following the service. Born December 1, 1956, Mr. Braswell was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, was a veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force, was a machinist, and was Methodist by faith. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed motorcycles and farming. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Braswell; sons, John Braswell and Kevin Braswell; his mother, Dorothy Braswell; sisters and brothers in-law, Carol Langley, all of Hogansville, Becky and David Steely of Notasulga, AL, Kaye and Randall Hodge of Hogansville; brother and sister in-law, Lanny and Carol Braswell of Hogansville. He was preceded in death by his father, Winston L. Braswell. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
