MR. DANNY JOE SHAW Mr. Danny Joe Shaw, 47, of Franklin, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Emory-St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Shaw was born August 26, 1967, in LaGrange, and lived in this area most of his life. He was Baptist by faith, and was a self-employed painting contractor. Survivors include his daughters, Carly Marie Brannon of Savannah and Brittany Danielle Shaw of Cartersville; grandchildren, Haven and Blake; his mother and step-father, Martha Sue and Wayne (Cooter) Garner of Smyrna; sisters, Darlene Hammett of Carrollton and Vera Blank of Florida, and Karen Hendricks of Union SC; and brothers, Donny Garner of Buchanan, Shawn Garner of Union SC, and Eric Garner of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Loy Merl Shaw. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Lynn Janney and the Reverend Charlie Bolt will officiate and interment will be in Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery in Heard County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: Thursday evening, August 28th, at Claude A.
