Daniel Wayne Newman

Mr. Wayne Newman, 65, of Franklin, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born August 31, 1958, in Newnan, Mr. Newman was the son of the late Carl Brown Newman and Louvenia Thacker Newman. He lived most of his life in Franklin and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Newman enjoyed front porch sitting, working in his shop, and helping everyone.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Newman of Franklin; children, Matthew and Jessica Studdard of Senoia, Steven and Kim Studdard of Edgefield, SC, and Erica and Chad Brown of Silver Creek; sister and brother in-law, Judy and Tim Jones of Roopville; eight grandchildren, Jake Seither, Blake Studdard, Madi Rae Brown, Tripp Studdard, Kyle Studdard, Lane Brown, Savannah Studdard, and Maddux Brown; a sister in-law, Yvonne Newman of Franklin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his brothers, Ben Newman and Dan Newman.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery in Coweta County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
