Mr. Daniel Shawn (Dan) Kimble, 29, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, of injuries received in a traffic accident in Heard County. Dan was born December 16, 1986, in Newnan. He was a lifelong resident of Heard County, and was a 2005 graduate of Heard County High School where he was an outstanding athlete and excelled in several sports. He was also known as a very talented musician and enjoyed entertaining, regardless of the size of the audience. Dan was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church was employed as a lead man for Southern Janitorial of LaGrange. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Thomasa and Mike Hickey; father and step-mother, Donnie and Wendy Kimble; sisters, Anna Kimble and Katy Tucker and her husband, Tommy; step-sister and brother in-law, Bridgete and Michael Cook, all of Franklin; brothers and sisters in-law, Brandon and Vanja Lane of Charlotte, NC, Dustin and Leslie Lane of Franklin; step-brother, Jay Hickey of LaGrange; his grandmother, LouNell Kimble of Franklin; niece, Emma; nephews, Seth and Noah; uncles, Larry Kimble, Rodney Kimble, and Roger Williamson; and a dear friend, Brian Mashburn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar Kimble, Dorothy Overby, and Charlie Williamson. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Nat McKenzie will officiate and interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
