Daniel Vernon Harrison

Mr. Daniel Vernon Harrison, 70, of Senoia, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Mr. Harrison was born January 24, 1948, in Atlanta, son of the late Charles Vernon Harrison and Charlotte Boyles Harrison. A resident of Senoia since 1987, he was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Newnan and was a Mason and Shriner. He had more than 40 years of service in HVAC and retired as a heating and air-conditioning foreman from the DeKalb County School System. Survivors include his sons, Jamie and Terra Harrison of Stockbridge, Joshua Harrison of Griffin; daughter, Kelly and Craig Couvillion of Sharpsburg; step-sons, Steve and Kim Akin of Moreland, David Akin of Senoia; step-daughter, Jennifer and Roger Scoggin of Griffin; eight grandchildren; sister, Lynn and Mike Goeckel of Lilburn; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Marchman Harrison. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rhodes Skinner will officiate and interment will be in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta at 2:00 p.m.. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
