MR. DANIEL GOTTSHALL Mr. Daniel G. Gottshall, 71, of Hogansville, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at his home. The memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Pastor Ron Daniel officiating. Born May 29, 1939, in Penn Yan, New York, Mr. Gottshall was the son of the late Herbert Underwood Gottshall and the late Charlotte Ferguson Gottshall. He was a veteran of service in the U. S. Navy, lived in Atlanta before making his home in Hogansville in 1996, and attended Highland Baptist Church. He led a varied work career, working on off-shore oil platforms and serving as a cook and a helicopter mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Jane Cheatham Gottshall of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Kathy and Roger Cole of Chattanooga, TN; son, Allan Gottshall of Oxford, MS; grandchildren, Brandon Cole, Austin Cole, Kenton Gottshall and Kyle Gottshall; sisters and brother in-law, Dorothy and Russell Rowan of Albion, MI and Judy Jewell of Altamonte Springs, FL; brother and sister in-law, Jerry and Dottie Gottshall of Nacogdoches, TX; sister in-law, Geri Gottshall of San Angelo, TX. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Gottshall and Ross Gottshall. Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 407 Askew Ave., Hogansville, GA 30230. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 1 until 2 Tuesday afternoon, July 27th, at Claude A.
