MRS. DAISY ILENE DUKE Mrs. Daisy Ilene Haynes Duke, 88, of Greenville, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, at Stovall Baptist Church. Reverend Ed White will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 Monday evening. Mrs. Duke was born April 2, 1925, in LaGrange, daughter of the late John Howell Haynes and the late Annie Wingate Haynes. A resident of Greenville most of her life, she was a retired seamstress and was a member of Stovall Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Vivian Allen of Tallahasse, FL; sons, Troyce Duke of Riverdale, Milton Duke of Greenville, David Duke and his wife, Agna of Russell Springs, KY; sisters, Elsie Duke of Woodland, Alma Rhinehammer of Warm Springs; brother, William Reid Haynes of North Augusta, SC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Bernard Duke. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
