MR. CURTIS F. WOOD
Mr. Curtis Franklin Wood, 81, of Grantville, passed away, Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Wood was born May 30, 1933, in Chambers County, Alabama, son of the late Daniel Matthew Wood and Luna Wright Wood. A resident of Coweta County most of his life, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired as a press operator from James River Corporation in Newnan. He lived in Hogansville for nine years, was a member of Hogansville Masonic Lodge #93 and Living Waters Baptist Church in LaGrange.
Survivors include his daughters, Charlotte Wood of Hogansville, Theresa Greene-Norred of Grantville; step-sons, Wayne Norred of Grantville, Nelson Norred of Sharpsburg, Jimmy Norred of Hogansville; brother, Eugene Wood of Atlanta, TX; grandsons, Scott Greene, Jason Greene, Chad Wood; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Haynes Wood; his wife, Earline Kindred Wood; and his son, Donald J. Wood.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Wesley Boatman and the Reverend Richard Clinard will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7, Saturday evening.
