Mr. Curtis H. Arrington, 76, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Arrington was born June 14, 1939, in Heard County, son of the late Charles and Eva Harris Arrington. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he had lived in Troup County since 1965 and was a retired building and asbestos abatement contractor, having co-owned and operated Delaton Service Corporation. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 32 years. Mr. Arrington enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football but he especially loved spoiling his granddaughters. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Sue Arrington of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Kelly and Phillip Hanners of LaGrange; son and daughter in-law, Grant and Elena Arrington of Boston, MA; sister, Janice Holloway of Franklin; granddaughters, Peyton Hanners and Olivia Hanners of LaGrange; and his mother in-law, Bonnelle Dorrough of Hogansville. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Jerome Wood and Pastor Wesley Boatman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
