MRS. COLLEEN G. SIMS Mrs. Colleen Green Sims, age 80, of Hogansville, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange. The Reverend Bruce Freeman and the Reverend Brad Thompson will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Monday night at Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Sims was born August 5, 1929, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Willie and Fannie Drake Green. She was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, was retired from Playtex International, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Mrs. Sims had also been active in the Green Bough Garden Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Hogansville Pilot Club. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Beverly Faith Stockton and William Granville Stockton of Moody, AL; son and daughter in-law, Dennis Crawford Sims and Brenda Huckeba Sims of Hogansville; grandchildren, Michelle Sims Morris and her husband, Gregory Channing Morris of LaGrange, Christopher Shane Sims and his wife, Susan Capes Sims of Newnan, and Jessica Christine Stockton of Los Angeles, CA; and great-grandchildren, Trevor Crawford Morris and Gunnar Christian Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Jesse Crawford Sims; granddaughter, Catherine Stockton Shields; sister, Gloria Green Hassentab; and brother, James Wesley Green. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Monday night, April 26th, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange Services: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27th, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
