Mr. Clinton Gaddy, 84, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Gaddy was born May 16, 1939, in Corinth, son of the late John Benjamin Gaddy and Myrtie Lancaster Gaddy. A lifelong resident of the Hogansville area, he was a veteran of service in the U.S. Army and retired from Magna-Lomason in Carrollton after 42 years of service. He attended the Hogansville Church of God, enjoyed working with computers, and loved being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Gaddy of Hogansville; son, John Carlis Gaddy and his wife Ashley of Hogansville; daughter, Angelia Loy and her husband Mike of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Janie Chipman and Barbara Webb of Hogansville, Susan Hanner of LaGrange, Nellie Barkhouse of Goosecreek, SC; brother, Chuck Gaddy of Hogansville; grandchildren, Hunter Gaddy and his wife Wesleigh, Houston Gaddy, Richard "Skeet" Sweet and his wife Megan; great-grandchildren, Hadleigh Gaddy, Winston Sweet, Lincoln Sweet; and his goddaughter, Darlene Hammett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Thelma Peterson, Aubrey Gaddy, Bennie Gaddy, Hazel Freeman, and Arnold "Preacher" Gaddy.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday.
