A ray of sunshine and kindness left this world when Clifford A. Strain passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Strain, Jr.; mother, Jane Mattox Strain; great nephew Jackson Bennett Fink and brother, John Strain. He is survived by his brothers, Edward Strain of Cornelia, GA, Nathan Strain of Tulahoma, TN and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins.
Clifford resided in Statesboro, GA for much of his life and was a hard-working, contributing citizen. He worked for 25 years at several businesses including Hardee's, Taco Bell, and Kroger. He loved music including Elvis, The Beatles, and any gospel music. "The Three Stooges", "The Wizard of Oz", "John Wayne" cowboy movies, and Elvis movies brought him great joy. He was a "neat freak" that rose early in the morning to ensure everything was in its place. He enjoyed yard work and loved to eat shrimp.
Clifford had a kind soul and possessed an open heart. He was an example to show other human beings love and acceptance. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at the Roanoke Rehabilitation Nursing Home facility. Their staff is an example to follow.
Services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 6 at the First Methodist Church in Hogansville Georgia.
