MRS. CLEO S. TUCKER
Mrs. Cleo Shirey Tucker, 83, of Hogansville, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Terry English will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
Mrs. Tucker was born July 26, 1927, in Heard County, daughter of the late Vessie and Lois Eley Shirey. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was a retired bookkeeper, was a former member and past president of Hogansville Pilot Club, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughers, Dianne Prophett of Hogansville and Bonita Hannah of Cave Spring; son and daughter in-law, Michael and Jacquie Tucker of Adairsville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Tucker; brother, Fred Shirey; and sister, Gwen Prophett.
