MR. CLAUDE O. WEAVER
Mr. Claude O'Neal Weaver, 88, of the Louise Community, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Tommy McLeroy will officiate and interment will be in Louise Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
Born March 27, 1923, in LaGrange, Mr. Weaver was the son of the late Pat and Esther Smith Weaver. He lived in Troup County most of his life, was an Army veteran of World War Two, and retired as a heavy equipment operator from the City of LaGrange after more than 25 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Allen Weaver; sons, Charles O'Neal Weaver and his wife, Vicki, all of Louise, and Robert Merle Weaver of LaGrange; daughters and sons in-law, Jane Espy of McDonough, Betty Jean and Jerry Newberry of Warner Robins, Janice and Donald Walker of Carrollton, and Joan Wilson of Centre, AL; sisters, Nita Beverly of Phenix City, AL, Blanche Brown of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Richard Weaver of LaGrange, Charles Strickland of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of West Georgia Hospice.
