Claude Gerald Scott

Mr. Gerald Scott, 78, formerly of Woodland, Alabama, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Scott was born December 18, 1943, in Stockbridge, son of the late Wilbur and Mollie Harris Scott. A veteran of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a retired carpenter and was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church in Randolph County, Alabama. Survivors include his son, Gerald "Ty" Scott and his wife Barbara of Sharpsburg; daughter, Kelley Monroe and her husband Chris of Marietta; sisters, Helen Milam of Union City, Vertie Dempsey and Wilma Cochran both of Tyrone, Carolyn Cravens of Anderson, SC, Julia Clay of Sharpsburg; brother, Ronnie Scott of Palmetto; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Haire Scott; and his brother, Lewis Scott. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. (EST), Tuesday, December 28, at the graveside in Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County, Alabama, with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating.
