Mrs. Clara M. Segars, 77, of Luthersville, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Mrs. Segars was born September 25, 1947, in Cherokee County, daughter of the late William Burton Holland and Ovelene Nation Holland. A resident of Meriwether County for many years, she was a retired beautician, attended Rehoboth Baptist Church, and loved Jesus and going to church. She is remembered as a loving person who never met a stranger and would help anyone. She enjoyed having a cup of coffee and especially loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Carlene Dulin (Jimmy Pennington) of Fortson, Darlene Pote of Luthersville, and Cecil "Rusty" Pote (Jane Carol Pote) of Greenville; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Dulin, Daniel Crook, Jonathan Crook, Sam Dulin, Marcus Searcy, Casey Hogan, Kayla Pote (Puddin), Joshua Pote, Marty Kilcyon, Clara Pate, Lindsey Griffin; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Ann Jaco of Hamilton; and brothers, William Holland and Robert Holland, both of Austell.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor TJ Boyd will officiate and interment will be in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in the Primrose Community of Meriwether County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.
