Clara Ward Rogers

Mrs. Clara Rogers, 75 of Grantville, passed away, Sunday, February 07, 2016 at Newnan Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born June 25, 1940 in Troup County, Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of the late Robert and Christine Hawk Ward. She was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church and had lived in Grantville for the past 10 years. Mrs. Rogers loved her grandchildren, cooking , and feeding her animals. Survivors include her daughters and son in-law, Karen and Gerald Jabaley of Grantville and Donna Rogers of Raymond; Sons and daughter in-law, Steve Rogers of Newnan, Gary Rogers of Grantville, and Darryl and Judy Rogers of Greenville; brother, Buford Ward of Lawrenceville, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Rogers. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Stanley Rogers will officiate an interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
