MRS. CLARA NELL DAVIS Mrs. Clara Nell Davis, 75, of Manchester and formerly of Luthersville, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Warm Springs Nursing Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born August 13, 1934, in Troup County, daughter of the late Raleigh Bennett Wright, Sr. and the late Clara McClain Wright. A resident of Manchester for the past five years, she lived at Luthersville for thirty years and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Lisa and Thomas Brown, Jr. of Manchester; son and daughter in-law, Ronald and Linda Owens of Luthersville; step-children and their spouses, Doug and Barbara Davis of Luthersville, Andy and Pat Davis of Hampton, Gloria and Freddie Fernandez of Luthersville, Sandra and Bill Patterson and Linda Davis of Seffner, FL; sisters and brother in-law, Grace and John Smith of LaGrange and Mary Dickens of Apolla Beach, FL; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Forrest Davis; son, Raymond Owens; and step-son, Lamar Davis. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
