Clara Williams Daniel

MRS. CLARA DANIEL Mrs. Clara Williams Daniel, 88, of Hogansville, wife of the late Roy H. Daniel, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Daniel was born April 3, 1927, in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Hugh Milton Williams and Mary Eliza Landers Williams. She had lived in Hogansville since 1945 and retired as bookkeeper for Ray Cheatham Enterprises after more than 35 years of service. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville and was an avid gardener, who loved to maintain beautifully landscaped yards. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Hitson of Augusta and the late Jeanette White of Atlanta; brother and sister in-law, Elmer and Pam Williams of Hogansville; and five grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Nancy Landers Williams. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Max McCord will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
