Claire Adams

Mrs. Claire Adams, 90, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Adams was born August 31, 1929, in Calumet City, IL, daughter of the late Steven and Julia Pietrzak. A resident of Lone Oak since 1985, she was a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had served several terms as a member of the Lone Oak City Council. Survivors include her sons and daughter in-law, Thomas and Katherine Adams, Craig Adams, all of Lone Oak, and Jeffrey Adams of Calumet City, IL; granddaughter, Amanda Adams of Florida; and step-children, Robert Whitlock of Newnan, Rachel Whitlock of Lone Oak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Adams. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, May 11, at Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Reverend Michael McFarlin officiating. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
