Cindy Lee Hook

Mrs. Cindy Lee Hook, 63, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Mrs. Hook was born January 13, 1954, in Los Angeles, CA, spent her childhood years in Coweta County, and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Newnan. A longtime resident of Florida, she was employed as a bartender for many years and served as a personal caregiver for the elderly in recent years. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Lee Thompson of Greenville; sister, Iva L. Craig and her husband Kenneth of Daytona Beach, FL; brothers, Roy Haney and Diane Haney of Luthersville, Jerry and Debbie Haney of Hogansville, Paul and Rachel Haney of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Hook; father, Gerald Leroy Haney; step-father, Tommy Max Thompson; and brother, Jimmy Haney. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
