Christopher Michael “Birdman” Whitlock, 53, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Forsyth.

Birdman was born October 20, 1972, in Newnan and was employed as a carpenter. A loving brother, brother in-law, and uncle, he was known to be a jokester, enjoyed woodcarving, was an animal lover, and was previously employed as a dog groomer.

Preceded in death by his mother, Judy Johnson Whitlock, his survivors include his sister and brother in-law, Lori and Jon Robert McCollum of Hogansville; brothers and sister in-law, Wade Whitlock of Newnan, William Pierce Whitlock, Jr. (Michelle) of Loris, SC; his father and step-mother, William Pierce and Joann Whitlock, also of Loris; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Russell Arrington officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service.
