MR. SHAUN PHIPPS Mr. Christopher Shaun Phipps, 33, of Snellville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday. Born April 7, 1979, in LaGrange, Mr. Phipps lived in Troup County before making his home in Snellville two years ago. He was employed as a lift operator at Carter's in Hogansville and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Gina Meeks Phipps of Snellville; his sons, Blake, Liam and Aidan, and another child due to be born on Christmas Day, 2012; his mother and step-father, Lynne and Troy Wilson of Hogansville; sister, Jenna Barrentine of Newnan; brother, Jake Wilson of Hogansville; and his maternal grandparents, Virginia and James Farmer, also of Hogansville. He was preceded in death by his father, William Eugene Phipps, Jr. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
