Christopher Kevin Bowen

Mr. Kevin Bowen, 53, of Grantville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Bowen was born on February 12, 1969, in Atlanta, son of the late Eldon Bowen and Mary Lee Crawford Bowen. He was Christian by faith, loved sports, especially Georgia football and Braves baseball. Mr. Bowen was known as a good cook and a lover of music and enjoyed singing and playing guitar and saxophone in his early years. He worked various odd jobs in construction and was a great handyman.

Survivors include his children, Tyler Jones and Lyndsi Jones; grandchildren, Konner, Dawsyn, and Layla; his brother and sister in-law, Eric and Cyndi Bowen; sister in-law, Debra Bowen; and his nieces and nephews, Bryan Bowen, Mitchell Bowen, Erica Masters, Gina Dearing, Chance Dearing, Christopher Bowen, Cody Bowen, Destiny Bowen, and Marye Bowen. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his sister and brother in-law, Patricia Ann and Robert Dearing and a brother, Brian Eldon Bowen.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Lynn Peters will officiate and interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday.
