MRS. CHRISTINE S. GENTRY Mrs. Christine Sibley Gentry, 85, of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 20, at Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County. The Reverend David Arrington will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Mrs. Gentry was born April 25, 1927, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Ervin and Alma Kee Sibley. She lived in Riverdale for twenty years before returning to Rocky Mount in 1988, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. A former employee of Lockheed Corporation and Rulist Press, she also owned and operated a convenience store for a number of years. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Glenn and Pam Gentry of Rocky Mount; sister, Shirley Windom, also of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Gentry, Jr., Tammy Godwin, Crystal and Shane Knight, Candice and Mike Bailey, Niki and John Starnes, Jason and Ashley Jordan, and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Breanna, Devin, Logan, Kailyn, Austin, Hunter, Grace and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Wayne Gentry. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, April 19th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20th, at Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County Interment: Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery
