Christine Tolison Elam

Mrs. Christine Tolison Elam, 81, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Elam was born August 26, 1937, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Auburn and Ada Jane Murphy Tolison. A longtime resident of College Park and East Point, she had lived in LaGrange since 1995 and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Rhonda and Randall Colemon of LaGrange, Sharon and Robert Smith of Conyers; son and daughter in-law, Edward and Crystal Elam of LaGrange; grandson, Dustin James and Jennifer Smith of Glen Burnie, MD and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James Elam. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, at Callaway Baptist Church. The Reverend Brad Thompson and the Reverend Ronnie Jordan will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 3 Sunday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
