Cheryl J. Noles, 71, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at her home.
Miss Noles was born April 10, 1952, in Heard County, and was a 1970 graduate of Hogansville High School, where she was member of the girl's basketball team. She was a resident of the Atlanta area for many years and retired as communications manager after more than 30 years of service with Dekalb County Police Department 911. Following her retirement, she was employed as a third-party examiner for Academy of Action Driving School.
Survivors include her mother, Jean Webb of LaGrange; sister and brother in-law, Carol and Lanny Braswell of Hogansville; brother and sister in-law, Mike and Faye Webb of LaGrange; a close friend of many years, Jan Davis of Canton; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Cramer Lee Noles; step-father, Merlin Webb; and sister and brother in-law, LeGail Noles Scarborough and Jim R. Scarborough.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jim Weathers officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, prior to the service.
