MR. CHARLIE W. TRAMMELL Mr. Charlie W. Trammell, 103, of Moreland, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, at his home. Mr. Trammell was born September 2, 1911, in Coweta County, son of the late John Wesley Trammell and Lula Martin Trammell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Julia Estes Trammell. A resident of Coweta County most of his life, he was a retired farmer and was a member of Luthersville Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday School superintendent, and worked with his wife Julia with the youth. Survivors include his sons, Wayne Trammell and his wife, Sue of Moreland, Richard Trammell and his friend, Betsy of Albany; grandchildren, Wesley Trammell and his wife, Leigh of Moreland, Mark Trammell and his wife, Mary of Atlanta, Michael Trammell and his wife, Michelle of Albany, and Jena Shell and her husband, Charlie of Birmingham, AL; great-grandchildren, Dalton Trammell, Jake Trammell and Camden Trammell of Moreland, Rosemarie Trammell and George Trammell of Atlanta, Chip Shell, Trammell Shell, and Julia Shell, all of Birmingham; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery, with the Reverend Winston Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8, Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity or to the Luthersville Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 237, Luthersville, GA 30251 Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Wednesday night, February 25th, at Claude A.
