Mr. Charlie L. Browning Mr. Charlie L. Browning, 73, of LaGrange, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend John Saunders will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night. Mr. Browning was born December 28, 1938, in LaGrange, son of the late Arthur Henry Browning and Annie Lou Christopher. He worked in construction most of his life having retired from Newman Construction Co. He was a lifelong resident of Troup County, a member of the Elm City Masonic Lodge and was an avid sportsman. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Charrine and Stanley Kirk of Franklin; son and daughter in-law, Matt and Tammy Browning of LaGrange; brothers and sister in-law, Billy and Debra Browning, and Johnny Browning, all of LaGrange, and Richard Browning of West Point; sisters and brothers in-law, Velma and Elton McCann of Pine Mountain, JerryAnn and Jim Davis, and Diane Hood, all of LaGrange, and June Brown of West Point; grandchildren, Andy Howard, Aaron Howard, Emily Browning, Zach Browning, and Nathan Kirk; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloise Crumbley Browning. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to a favorite charity be made in Mr. Browning's memory. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Saturday, March 31st, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 1st, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
